Objective:
The New York Public Art Fund approached Colossal Media to paint a 19,744 square foot Sarah Morris installation on the ceiling of the Lever House, a New York city landmark building.
Scenario:
The artwork had to be perfectly reproduced to line up throughout the block-long length of the Lever House. Colossal had to paint around glass walls and columns to the artists exacting standards. In order to make the grand opening deadline the painter’s worked 24 hour shifts for 2 weeks straight, upside down!
Result:
The project was finished on time to critical acclaim.
